This year, we're celebrating 88 years of being the premier quality food retailer our founder — George W. Jenkins — created. His dream was to open a store that was different — a store that operated on a set of values everyone could feel when they walked through the door.

 

This month, we're celebrating Mr. George's birthday and focusing on a lesson close to our founder's heart — treating customers like royalty. He once said, "That friendly touch in customer service is the secret of our success, so let's don't ever lose it." Mr. George's passion for providing customers with premier customer service and high-quality products continues to remain at the core of Publix and is demonstrated by associates every day.
